thanks for the info and responses, it had a sticker on it for harding oil quenching -1450-1500 , and a cart for anneal temps , but no times , so I heated to non magnetic held it there couple minutes then quenched in peanut oil , then an walled at 400 for an hour 2times . so far the one i have...

Newbie here . I have some starrett steel that is A0 with some added vanadium .will this be good knife steel ? Actually already made a couple with it but one that I forged into shape and was trying to bend some (cold) broke so now I’m wondering? Appreciate any help
