Towards the end of 2021, my daughter wanted to make a knife after binge watching Forged In Fire. I gathered some tools, rigged a small propane forge, and she (we) hammered out a knife-shaped blank of mild steel for practice. It was pretty cool. Here tweenage mind was almost immediately captured by some other sparkly, attention-stealing distraction and I was left with the beginnings of a new hobby. I filed out my first knife, forged out my second knife, and the casual hobby quickly metastasized into full-on driving challenge to learn, develop, and improve my skills to see what I am capable of creating.
