I've used it on my 3 at times. It has a bit better effect on ticks than some of the other spot treatments. Usually works within 24 hours if ticks are already embedded and it's fairly waterproof after 24 hours. It's important to be sure that your dog doesn't have any issues before you apply...

The danger seems to depend on the type and size of the toad and the size of the dog. It is not at all unusual for toads to kill dogs even of Boxer, Dobermann, or Dalmatian size if enough of the toad is consumed or if it is the right type of toad.

Sorry about Viper, but ya know... he doesn't know it's not perfectly natural for that to happen. Just be patient with him (and don't move the furniture) and he'll adapt to it. Sight is a second sense to dogs, anyway. Smell and hearing will compensate with some time for him to adjust.

I'm sorry for your loss. I've gone through it many times in 60 years and it never gets any easier. But I believe that there is a special place in the next life for people who rescue and there are "special" friends waiting to greet them.

Well, if it says anything about what I like, the only knives that I have backups for are my Paramilitaries, my Caly 3, my UKPK, and my mini-RSK. I have a lot of other knives, but those are used and appreciated enough that I don't want to be without one.

I'm with the OP most of the time. I carried a Caly 3 for a couple of years until I tried out a UKPK at Blade. I really got to liking the ease of use that a slippie gives and I'm marginally fonder of S30V than VG10 for a 3" pocket folder, so the UKPK has slipped into the Caly 3's place lately...

Hah! Molly sleeps like that sometimes. If we're up too late for her with the bedroom telly, though, she'll pull one arm up under her head and put the other one over her eye so she can block out the light.
