I'm married (32 years), we have 3 adult children, I've been making knives 20 years, in 1993 I meet Hugh Bartrug, we quickly became close friends and he began to teach me his ways of knife making and damascus forging. I owe so much to Hugh and his wife for helping me as I started out, even tho he has passed on now I still look at every new project and think of how he would design it and finish it. Every knife I make I try to honor his memory by always providing the best quality of workmenship and integrity in every blade I forge. I do all phases of of the builds from design to the finished sheath, there is a bit of my heart and soul in every knife I make, each one is a custom design and never copied.
