    Knife Pistols Available?

In case you haven't seen any of the WIP photos on other forums, Steve Culver is in the process of making a cut & shoot entirely from damascus. It should be QUITE THE PIECE! Gary

    Large Bowie

I gave this Bowie a bit larger blade than I normally do (10 1/2"). The steel is an accordian cut "W" of different thicknesses of 1084 & 15N20. The handle scales are bone with fittings of blued WI, brass & 416. [Though it doesn't show it because of the angle of the photo, the ball...

    Large Fighter

This fighter has a 10" blade & 15" OAL. The damascus pattern is the result of playing around with some new techniques and the handle is some old pre-ban ivory. Let me know what you think. Gary

    W's & Blackwood

Thanks guys. Glad that you liked it. I just got the S&W stand at a recent gun show (everyone needs a new "toy" once in a while):3:. Gary

    W's & Blackwood

I gave this small fighter a blade (6 1/4") of a 40x6 W pattern with a handle of blackwood. The guard is of a 240 layer damascus (though my photography doesn't show it well) and a pommel of 420. Let me know what you think. Gary

    First in awhile

That's a beautiful knife. I'm not a fan of carved antler but appreciate & admire your skills. If that had been an ivory or choise piece of exotic wood, you would have a "WOW". Gary

    In the pile

Glad that you're back, Ray. Good looking knives! :3: If you find something that gets you into the mood to make sheathes, please let me know. Gary

    Classic Bowies from years past

Bruce, I took the liberty of making this one a combination of two different Bowies. I don't have the book in front of me to know the exact pages but the blade is from a William Butcher knife and the handle is from a Robert Bunting (I just liked Butcher's blades better than Bunting's). Glad...

    Classic Bowies from years past

Thanks, Bruce. There are so many classic Bowies from that era that I would love to make that it is hard to find a stopping point. I just finished a George Woodhead Bowie (sorry for the photography but I can't compete with Chuck Ward): and have started another that has the blade of a...

    Classic Bowies from years past

Thanks everyone. I had a lot of fun recreating them. [The first one has fossil walrus, the second is blackwood, and the third is rosewood.] Gary

Steve Culver MS - San Francisco style Bowie w/ Silver sheath

Steve, I hope that I have the chance to view this one first hand at The Heartland Bladesmithing Symposium this year. Beautiful piece!!! I've built a few historic knives recently and can appreciate the work that you put into this one. First class! Gary
