This will be my 200th knife. It will be my first attempt at grinding a dagger. Final piece will probably be slimmer and curvier too- more like a boot knife. I plan to make this one another customer appreciation giveaway. Steel is 3/16 W-2. Not entirely sure what handle material I’ll use yet.

I think it would be an interesting use of handle materials and making the fit and finish work would definitely be challenging.

That sounds like a really cool and challenging idea. Has anyone done it before? Would you approach it like segmented handle scales?

Just finished up a set of steak knives. AEB-L and Golden Trout G-Carta scales.

New addition to the shop. Been saving awhile for this upgrade. Have to wire it up with my existing vfd and motor and then rearrange the shop a bit. I’m also waiting on a new carbide platen. Can’t wait to fire it up and go.

Hiker EDC v3. Magnacut with Desert Ironwood burl and African Blackwood.

Second attempt at a Nessmuck style knife. Had a little difficulty with the evenness of the grind and solved it by adding a swedge. AEB-L with Bog Oak and spalted Mango.

I ended up getting the switch. Like I said, for $25 it was a no-brainer. I took advantage of Brodbeck's current sale and ordered one of their packages. Now I have to wait...

Thanks Ken. I was thinking sharpening would be the biggest benefit. Now a waterfall platen will be on my wishlist too.
