Like most of you who use one, I've lasered a bunch of different things on blades. This is the latest. AEB-L with spalted maple. If you're right-handed you can cut veggies, if left-handed you can cut fruit. Lol
My first canister has bearings and 1095 rod. Things I learned, use small bearings not large, fine powder is not fine enough (looks grainy) and leave the billet thick enough to grind off the powdered steel on the outside to get a more even pattern. But this little knife looks pretty ok with stag.
While two of my grandchildren asked for flippers, the youngest wanted a dagger. This one is my 1095 and 15n20 damascus with stabilized Buckeye burl.

I have a smaller forge, it is 4" round by 14" long. It got to welding temps as a venturi, but I changed to forced air for controllability. I too was looking for a cost-effective fan. I am using a blower like this and am very happy with it. It gets to welding temps quickly and makes the forge...
Ha, it must be a 4". I remember doing the math when I built it. I wanted more pressure but as you know what you got is what you got unless you spend more. I do have it turned up as high as it goes.
