I like tinkering, casting, repurposing things,hardrubbish-saving very old things,(& my Mrs's motto "oh! new junk in-old junk out!)=(harhar 64ac you find it!)

making brew/distilling it,

lost wax casting (I have 2.5tons of moded microcristoline wax if anyone down under is interested

,I have sold 1 ton through a art supply shop & seen it turned into bronze statues for sale in a high end galllery=
the (Art shop) salesman (& allso lost wax art teacher describe it as best thing since sliced bread!)

The gallery owner/resident artisan, allso loved my moded wax over victory brown (harhar-I was in the gallery as a techo installing ph credit machinery - I asked the gallery owner/artist about his work & u learn about the circular economy in a weird way;)

I have a 76kg (167lb) anvil dated 1746 & its stand is a moded 125kg (275lb)steel sign post with a 2" steel base & you can spin the anvil 360° (locking it into place is the next mod for the stand - still it an't going no where)

I joined KnifeDogs.com as I have a working forge ( I moded S.S commercial fish n chip fryer, tis heavily insulate with waterglass n fire clay for the base & inturnerly its full of expanded perlite--8 hours of firing the S.S sides are blood warm-

side note I made tiles with expanded perlite & waterglass using a old microwave oven, took a while to bake & sucked a fair bit of the glue, still worked out ok,just brittle, good back up refractory..

Next mission is to do a vacum formed high temp (1600°c-3500°f)rockwool tube-

you guys in usa are so spoiled for resources off the self same tube us$38 - carnt buy it for the love of $'s here (well us$38=au$45.80, u dont wont to encourage flyby nights routing you now..

your pay rates suck on the botten end of the food chain so I feel for the poor as I'm just treading water - hence thank fuck for web sites like this!

- & thank fuck my son's a airspace engineer...harhar it helps

I'v now have to turn this "about you" into posts to see if I can pick more brains on how do I/you make this or that..
