I have switched my Instagram name to Salvo_knives
I'm no longer going by knuckleheavyknives
Almost done with this one.
Working through a batch I started.
I got a CNC a couple of weeks ago and that is now taking all my time while not at my full time job.
I've so far made everything by hand (to include this knife), but I'm trying to step into the realm of CNC to be able to do...
Framelock in the works. Progress pics tomorrow! I also designed several other folders that I'm prototyping at the moment (6 others to be precise).
Prototyping might be the wrong word as I'm doing everything by hand and adjusting my cad drawings as I build.
Also I made a bit driver to get back...
I'd say you may even be able to use it in slip joints, once the mechanics are all done with the liners, you would be able to have scales with no screws or pins showing! I'd not thought of using it for slip joints but I think it may still be usable!
My goal is for linerlocks to show zero...
Made a little tool for hidden hardware, been wanting to do this for years.
This will potentially be a game changer for my folder builds. Both active and future.
i have just the right style build to try it on at the moment as well.
Finally getting back to folders, it's been quite some time, but I've been slowly finding more time to get in my shop. Work is busier than ever.
Worked on these designs over the past couple years and have finally started prototypes. Thanks for looking
Using your tutorial I was able to complete a good functioning version of this, thank you for all the great information you put out. This was just a proto/proof of concept in AEB-L, will transition to Damascus as time permits
Pre glue up. Working on this guy for blade west, trying to decide on if I want a spacer or not..hardest part of knifemakingfor me is deciding on what I want to do to a knife before finishing it.
I do have one question on the tapered endmill, do you happen to know where I can find one to match the buttons on your website?
Love your work , and all you do for the community.
