    The Steinbrucke (Kershaw) Leek

$8 plus tax is what I paid so under $9 lol. Ya insanely cheap. There are Steinbrucke reps I guess is the correct term that are selling all diff models for this price and this may be my fav. I actually just started looking at old Gerbers for that exact reason haha.

    The Steinbrucke (Kershaw) Leek

Wanted to share a knife I got when I first began collecting knives (has only been about 6 months) before I knew about brands, steel types, and what makes a quality knife. Its a Steinbrucke; I even created a post here asking about them a few months ago. I am still pretty impressed with this...

    Question about AISI/SAE

Collecting/using. I am genuinely having so much fun messing with knives/steels-metalworking sounds fantastic. Just to be able to handle various steel types and turn them into well something haha and to test them--sounds so much fun! I am 100% going to look into that. I just have a bit of ocd so...

Ive seen AISI before 440, D2, etc but not for 8CR or AUS8 & etc., so does that mean AISI ONLY names American...

    Question about washers & bearings

    Question about washers & bearings

I think my confusion lies in me thinking bearings ARE NOT considered manual.

    Question about washers & bearings

So would the ones that use just washers be considered manual? Bc I always thought bearings are a form of assist so the knife isnt a manual bc it runs on bearings but washers are still manual?

    Question about washers & bearings

This may he a dumb question but I just got into knives so I apologize in advance. So I understand there are different deployment systems; manual, spring assist, automatic, & bearing assist but when it comes to washers are they found in all deployment systems minus otfs? Bc Ive seen ppl ask if a...

    Whetstone suggestion?

Ive never used a stone once so I most likely will need a lot of practice. To be honest I dont think Id use the knives to the point where they need real work but rather a touch up sort of thing like as you said 'zip zip done' probably is better for me and my needs. Thank you! I am definitely...

So 1000/6000 is good? I saw one 400/1500 but I was thinking for me 1000/6000 is best.
