I work. Everyday. To provide for my family. When not working, I'm home. Working. I have extensive formal and non-formal background in organic and inorganic chemistry, thermodynamics (none of this makes me an expert on anything), medicine, and the various methods companies use to manufacture their medical implant devices (joint replacements, etc.). This has taught me that no method is perfect and no metal is perfect. I'm here because I enjoy creating useful things without being dependent on modern society to over-charge me for some mediocre product that I don't really want. I want to help others, like my kids, learn and appreciate metalworking, smithing/blade smithing so it doesn't become a "lost" art. And I'm here to learn. I expect just about every other member will have plenty of knowledge which I don't have, so I value all opinions, comments, and criticism. That's ultimately how I've learned thus far. Learning never stops. If I don't know the answer to something, I'll be the first person to say so. If I do know something, and I'm asked to share my thoughts, I'll always do so in a respectful manner.
