Anybody have any suggestions as to etchant for Elmax? I'm using a personalizer plus with etchant and stencils from IMG. SC44 has worked well on CPM3V Set at 3 and then 3.5 on the dial: SC44 kind of worked on the Elmax but the etch is not going as deep. 110-A worked a little better but still...

I've had three of these and all of them died on me in less than a years use. every one would jump around as I was trying to read it and give me measurements far off reality. I still have all three and use them when I need to do layout work where I have an example to go off of but none of them...

I have and use one. Working within the limitations of my 2x42 it was the easiest and cheapest option. Even on .188 cpm 3v steel it works with 80 grit drums but it's slow and I'm waiting for the day I burn it up. I've gotten the best deal on drums from supergrit.com
