Finishing Up 3 pc Kitchen Set

Thanks for the kind words, I had a lot of concerns with this set because the customer was "designing" what, and how he wanted it. I was really unhappy with the pin placement, but he wanted the set to closely match a set his father brought back from Europe in the early 1950's. The only substitution he allowed was the bolster material to lighten the knives and better balance them.
I have two more sets in progress more to my liking.

Sometimes a customers request may not be to your liking you have to balance that against is it going to make the finished product not up to my standards! I once did a knife for a fellow's grandson, and just before shipping he asks if I could put the boys name on the sheath. Something like it was branded. I thought about it a bit and I said yes. Ended up I made a set of letters out of wire, heated them and branded the name onto the sheath. I was not happy with it so sent pics to the customer and he liked it. So when I sent it out I made a statement, if not satisfied let me know and I would re-do it! He was tickled when he got it. So I learned sometimes the customers request needs to be honored, even if you don't like it!!
