Attention!!!

I'm still me!!!!!! Lol I just wanted to give everybody a heads I switch my forum name to my real name (use to be Volkert Forge) I also opened a new intsagram account under "JasonVolkertKnives". Not that anybody careso_O;)
I'm so excited that you are still you. I was very concerned that you were becoming , well , someone else. I wasn't sure whom that other someone was , other than that it wasn't going to be you and no one here would recognize you and you would have to start all over again at the beginning. Just imagine how hard it would be to make your first knife with the attendant mistakes. Anyway, welcome back. We missed you.

Are you sure it's you? I'd double-check...:D

Yep. I made the same switch about a year ago. I was DropPoint before.

Ok, stupid question time. How do you change your user name? I've been wanting to change to my full name but can't figure it out.

I've gotta voice this...... I REALLY respect and appreciate those who choose to use their real name on any forum/public arena. I know for some it can be a security issue, but in my experience, when I see a real name, it gives me a sense that the individual has integrity, and will not "hide" behind some obscure screen name....... I've also noticed that when someone doesn't use their real name, they tend to type/say things that they would never say to anyone's face.

KUDOS!!!!

Not all of us are like that Ed. I have never said anything to anyone on any forum that I wouldnt say to thier face. My screen name came about from an early need on a local auction site. (NZ's version of ebay) and it was in honour of our schnauser family member Grauvolk Bruno Von Gruff) On a hunting forum I became so connected to the name via my knives that it became my business name as well so while my actual name is Garry Keown, I would have no name recognition for my knives if I changed to that on the forums so Von Gruff I will remain.

I am a lot nicer online than I am in person, I really don't care for people much

My full name and Website link are in my signatures, I’ve been using bladegrinder on various websites for years. I don’t see anything wrong with using a “handle” other than replying to someone that that’s all they use. It’s kind of strange to say hey....that looks nice abracadabralishnis.
