What's going on in your shop?

Love it Gene!! "W" pattern is so versatile! Besides "canned" mosaics, for the past couple of years I seem to make more W patterns then anything.

Working on three small Bird and Trout knives in 1084. I hope to have at least one done by the middle of next week. The owner of the coffee shop I go to has expressed an interest in seeing my knives. The Cocobolo is from John Wilson and the other scales are Birdseye Maple from Boss Dog.

This is also the first time I'm using Silver-Nickel instead of 416 stainless for the bolsters. Any tips on that?

I’m still messing with Blade/handle shape combos, I keep making handles I like and blades that are somewhat ok, either they don’t mAtch or I don’t like an element in the design. Ricasso design is hit and miss over here
I should have worked that grind line back another 1/2” and then cut a smaller Choil. I also don’t like the step on the spine and the handle and spine are misaligned vertically... bottom knife is the newest one

Edit to add that the bottom knife I was trying to go for the recurve look

Got all this stuff from Tandy recently. The nice folks at our local store gave me 15% off my whole order and the mallet was already marked down to 28$. It was over $100. I bought some basic stamps, carnauba finish and gum trag. Bought a poundo board for punching holes. The water mister I bought is amazing too btw. I definitely recommend it. You guys are inspiring me to take my leather sheaths to the next level and it’s time that I do. :) A73875C1-F276-4DEE-82F7-F498D5EFE478.jpeg
