How is everyone holding up?

I still don't know what a poll arm is.!
According to the internet: A pole weapon or pole arm is a close combat weapon in which the main fighting part of the weapon is fitted to the end of a long shaft. Fishing could be a whole different story.

As far as life it self with the situation we have all be going through doubt is the number one concern. Fortunately my faith gives me hope through Jesus Christ that what ever happens in this life His Love has got me covered.

Thanks, Raymond. I appreciate the answer.

Sorry, Bruce, I thought that you were just pointing out that I spelled poll instead of pole. As Raymond said they are poles of various lengths with a sharp thingy on the end such a spears, pikes, glaives, halberds, bills, and, of course, pole axes.

gotcha. I really wasn't being a smart-ass. (This time!)

Doing pretty good. Probably Letting this stuff worry me more than it should.
I need to get back out to the shop. I haven done any knife related work for about a month now.

This is crushing the economy, I just hope it settles down and we can get back to normal. Small businesses have to be hurting.

The good news here is that Illinois moved on to phase three, except for Chicago. That might mean I might be able to get a hair cut and a beard trim next week. Restaurants have been given permission to go to outside dining and the city has been helping by making arrangements to rent tables with a refundable security deposit. The stay at home order has also been suspended.

So I have been out reading and ran across this - most of the related posts were in April and May - I just thought I would bump it up and ask everyone - here we are what 7 months in - how is everyone doing? I can only hope as good as you were then - here is my story - it's a happy one!

I work in IT (computer nerd) in the Utility Space - providing power to the people - considered essential so we have not missed a beat. Being in IT, my teams had to move our entire company - call center, billing, accountants - everyone - to WFH - immediately. CRAZY! I have worked from home since March 16th - first time in all my years... We still don't know what 2021 will look like...

My garage is split 1/3 office and 2/3 workshop - canvas drops are my walls. My wife has WFH for 15 years and I have a 38 year old daughter who is an oncology nurse providing palliative care in a city hospital - I can't even. A 2nd daughter who her and her husband and 3 boys follow the oil work around. A son in college - a JR - who's football season is not happening and a daughter who is a sophomore in High School. Oh - and 7 grandchildren....

We are doing great and have it way better than we deserve. The 4 of us at home - myself, my wife my college son and hs daughter all had covid in late March. As usual - I barely got sick at all (I just don't get sick - too stubborn) My son was asymptomatic (he's like me-it's the Choctaw.) My daughter lost all smell and taste - for a long time - but was like having a cold. My wife was pretty sick - never hospital - but like a tough flu. We are all doing great since - but we do just stay home!

I thought it would be interesting to hear how everyone has fared...

Fine.

The COVID policy has been a nightmare at work. Not that they ain't trying, but you can't put that many rules in place and expect them to be properly followed.

Now, I'm gonna speak freely just this one time. I won't point fingers but there ain't no way anyone won't know where I stand.

This insanity running rampant in the good Ol USA gotta stop. This is a straight up insurrection they're running on us and I won't have it. This is a Republic. It will remain as such.

How is everyone else doing with work, kids, going to the store, physically and mentally?
First, a tip of my hat to Justin for posting this question. I suspect a lot of us have a bunch of feelings that we'd like to express on this subject. This forum is one place that helps curb the isolation and frustrations we are all facing to varying degrees.
In a nut shell, as retirees, my wife and I are doing fine since we are used to the self imposed isolation of living in Montana in the winter. However, particularly irritating is the conflicting Covid information, mind numbing partisan bickering and uncertainty related how we (the US and World) will deal with the ongoing pandemic. This forum offers a wonderful diversion from the daily barrage of "information" we are fed through virtually every form of media. If I didn't have a metal working shop and challenged by the art of knife making, our state of affairs would be much more difficult.

Bless all of you who so willingly share advice and counsel about a marvelous endeavor, knife making - it makes life a good deal more enjoyable.
