    Stick tang or partial tang question

    Do you mean how much tang is needed in the handle? Not my department but I think at least 2/3rds of the handle length is a general rule. Could be wrong. Others willl probably chime in that’ll know better than me.

    http://dcknives.com/public/grind_angle.php From what I’ve seen in the Bushcraft community, guys prefer a blade of that style more in the 1/8” area. If you wanted it beefier, I wouldn’t make that blade any thicker than 5/32”.

    That looks awesome! Do y’all know of any good suppliers for elk antler? I haven’t done many hidden tang blades but would like to in elk. Maybe even scales for a full tang if the piece was big enough to rip down.

    My neighbor Tony Bose also uses a 20” wheel on his Burr King. He tells me he contacted them wanting one and his was one of the first they made. He loves it.
