    Design thought.

Cool idea man. It’s looking good. Im curious about the best way to heat treat one of these as far as, does just the head get quenched or does the whole piece benefit from being uniformly hard? Should the handle be hardened is what I’m asking. Anyone have any idea?

Tutorials on Ricasso end scale shaping?

I pin the scales together, grind the curve I want and then push the pins flush with the scale on one side and then grind the end to the angle I want on my disc sander with the work rest set to the angle I want. Scandi bevel degrees?

I’ll try to explain this the best I can remember. I normally grind one side at a time close to a center line that’s scribed on the edge of the blade and I usually start on the left side of the knife, edge up which would mean I’m pulling from left to right starting from where a plunge line would...

What's going on in your shop?

Just got this food warmer to be used as my quench tank. My thinking is that if the oil needs heated up for optimal ht, this is the best way I’ve seen to get it warm. I wanted parks 50 but couldn’t justify the price since I’m putting as much money as I can towards buying a new house. Should be...

Would this setup be proper for verifying temps on my tempering oven which is just a table top baking oven? Or do I just need a thermometer?
