Furthermore, I've got just two more things to say (unless I think of more):) First of all, a "knit" is not a "nit" and I appreciate you guys not throwing that up in my face, shows a lot of class. Second, and this is not addressed to anyone in particular so..... it's not you. Say what you want...

Both you guys are fine, (as if I have a right to judge), heck, you didn't even get my blood pressure up. I was not offended, just felt like things needed a little leveling up. A great guy once said "He who wealdeth the sword must certainly expect to need his shield" Just kidding, nobody great...

That's kind of my point....;). It's seems like those that are willing to knit-pick the show to death are not as willing to have their' comments about the show knit-picked with the same enthusiasm. Let me put it another way. If you're willing to critisize the show for all it's little failings...

I'm pretty sure the whole world doesn't think we repair knives by welding them together.

Hi John, before FIF the custom knife industry as a whole was going down hill fast even as mine and your personal knife businesses increased. The Blade Show had fewer and fewer participants every year. There were more and more empty tables and less attendance every year. Since FIF Blade show...

When I was there it was 103 degrees in the forge room, and you were standing in front of an 1800 degree forge. They do take really good care of you though. We each had a thermos of cold water at our benches and as soon as it was emptied, someone came and filled it. If you got a cut, the medic...

    What are you thankful for?

I'm thankful for all you people here, all my buds on the forums. Oh yeah, my health, my wife, my boat and anvil and my dog and my brothers. Also my rolling mill and my ribbon forge.

The bread and butter of knifemakers?

There's not much demand for custom bread knives and butter knives. I'd stick to the models that sell better like hunters and skinners.:):) I know, you didn't need advice from a smart azz. I just couldn't help myself. Your getting pretty good advice here though.

We were still in Brooklin when we filmed. My opponent got his back. I think they were just getting so much stuff they had to start letting people have some of it.

Thank you for the kind words. Just to be clear, the knife was made in six hours total. Three hours for the blade and three for the handle. Up until season four, they kept everything. I understand, starting on my season they let the runners-up have their weapons back.

I have been on the show, and win or lose, it was one of the most fun things I have ever done. If you go into it with the idea that you're doing it for all the right reasons: to have fun, to be challenged, to be taken out of your comfort zone, to do something you've never done before. If you go...

Where should i sell my knives

Instagram used to be known for "Sexting". Now it's more of the new Face Book. You can see anything on there. But, you don't have to see anything you don't want to see.

Where should i sell my knives

We use Face Book, Instagram, a web site, and you can sell on sites like this one and Blade Forums. You can also present your knives to local shops, sell at gun shows and bazaars. Do it all. I'm not sure what this talk about skirting Face Book police is all about. I sell on Face Book all the...

That's my rolling mill that I made from a horizontal mill. Read further up. It said DOD because I got it from a military auction, Department Of Defence.
