You guys want to see my latest knife

Yes I do, thank you. I went to the GRS School for a week. This is the 5th or 6th knife I have engraved. I highly suggest the school if anyone is interested in learning to engrave.

    Working With Mammoth Tooth

No, with that much surface area a course grit will not be a problem. It could be a problem if you used that course of a belt on the edge. It could knock some chunks out.

    Working With Mammoth Tooth

I thought I recognized the steel. Yes, 24 grit belts would be good too. With that much surface area you need big rocks to thin the mat'l. Go boldly my friend.

    Anybody know what these are?

Do you know what these are? Any body know what kind of steel it is? As you can see, in this next picture I did a break test on it and it hardened up real hard. See the grain structure?

The kids from my latest knife making class.

I teach adults too but I like teaching the kids more. They follow instructions better, and don't come to class with bad habits they need to un-learn.

Talk to me about heirloom/museum fit?

In my opinion, it doesn't interfere with the flow, and doesn't feel funny. The step is so small it feels and looks fine, much better than the sharp edge feels ( if MF is not used) when the natural material shrinks or swells due to changes in humidity. Pinless and take-down construction are also...

    FIF like or not thread

I may have already said too much. Some guys in black hoods are liable to throw a bag over my head and stuff me in a van. I will tell you this, they only film one season ahead.
