The new photobucket is a pain! What else works?

800 x 600 pixels, jpeg resolution on high, makes for a file size around 280-300kb for decent speed in page loading.

    More photobucket problems

I only have that problem with the new "drag and drop" feature. If I go the original route "choose file" then there are no problems at all.

+1 on the not rushing to new technology.

    Knife pictures

BossDog hit the nail on the head. Also notice that in the first two pix the knife is reflecting the dark around it. In the last pic it is reflecting the white side of the light box and therefore looks much better.

    Help needed

It's the 12" behind the camera that counts. Don't get caught in the megapixel trap :) Shawn hit the nail right on the head. I have a similar Canon Powershot and I'm sure you can get good results with yours. For starters... First turn of the flash. Then shoot some using the "macro" setting...

    Light box photos

That was a great illustrative video. I cut the center out of a piece of foam core (picture a 2" frame) to hold my tracing paper diffuser. Clamp lights rule :)

    The "Deer Guide" Bowie

That is a beauty. I really like the sweeping shape of the blade and the (old school?) guard. Add the no nonsense handle and it all flows together.

    Some of my sheaths

Thank you. It is a Y shaped basket weave stamp from Tandy. At the tip of the sheath you can see a single impression from it.

    Layout question

Kayla, I'm new here so I hope you don't mind my 2¢ :D I really, really like what you have done here. I think it is a much better solution than the round and oval insets that are so popular now. As a graphic artist for 35 or so years, one thing that I'm a big proponent of is a rule around the...
