I have used the system three marine epoxy for years and have never had a problem 15 + years. I use Quick Poly on hidden tang knives it is absolutely fantastic stuff. Thin as alcohol and will never let go. It cures in about 10 minutes and heat or acetone will not effect it. It is used on horses...

A small shaper works great. don't know about a planer. You can get a small shaper at one of the large outlet home stores fairly cheap that will work for you

I used a 1/2 carbide burr in a dremel to bounce around on the bolsters to get the finish. Then I hit it on the buffer very lightly to finish them up, the buffer keeps them from looking rough. Thanks all

One I finished today My whitetail hunter 8 1/2 inches long with 3 7/8 blade 5/32 think rc 60 CPM154 mirror polish. The bolsters are 7075 T-6 aluminum with a jigged finish then a light polish over them. File work down spine Hope you like it.
