I recently acquired some roller bearings from some riding jacks. Any recommendations for forge welding them into some billets for damascus?

I'll do a few. I have a design in mind similar to the bird and trout I posted in my forum,http://knifedogs.com/showthread.php?12835-Got-a-little-recurve-bird-and-trout-in-the-works. Thinking a little longer blade and slightly wider handle. I'm kind of liking a cordwrap but scales would work too.

I haven't posted much either but I too have been watching in awe, checking several times daily. I got a few other irons in the fire and cannot even think of starting for a couple of weeks. Mine will not be as ornate by any means but thanks for working the bugs out and showing us the way. Larry

I'm late as usual. Work on the farm is finally slowing down and I get a little more shop time. More time to spend on the forums too. I got some new toys over the summer and plan to do more stuff.. It's been fun learning how to use the lathe. Larry
