    Snakeskin sycamore and 1095

I am working on a camp set. A chopper and a utility. This is the smaller half. Snake skin sycamore with 416 pins and a mosaic center pin. The OAL is about 7 1/2" with a 3 1/4" blade hand finished to 400 grit. Thanks for taking a look. Derek Lee

Fixed blade handles - need help

not sure if anyone covered this but use a flat surface and glue sand paper to it (I use A 12" marble tile from homedepot or lowes) Then you can sand the scales perfectly flat by rubbing them in a figure eight motion on the paper. with my first few I would look at the spine and I would find gaps...

    I need some help please.

Oh cool yeah I am from Hollister so when I go visit the familiy I head through Los Banos. Yeah etching can be kinda iffy. It takes a while to get a good stencil if your making them yourself. I was looking into a stamp but I am not sure about holding it like a nail or if there is more fixtures...

    Utility/hunter in 1095

Yeah Aus I was thinking the same thing. I am just having problems with keeping crisp lines when I hand finish. I was just really happy with the lines and the way that everything turned out so I left it. But I am practicing more on my hand sanding when its not a full flat. Thanks for your...

Is a stamp the only way you want to go or is a etching an option? Also, what part of the central valley are you living in? I am here in Fresno
