Is it just me or do finished pieces never feel truly finished? I am having an issue with letting go of my knives. I finish a knife and to me it feels to stiff or lifeless. I know its a piece of steel with a handle so it shouldn't have any life to it. But, we all know that knives have a "feel"...

Just finished up this one for a friend who works at a pistol range. I hope to get some more eyes on my work. 1095 steel OA about 11 inches the blade is about 5.5 inches.

Please let me know what you guys think. 1095 with g10 scales. The blade length about 4" total length about 9" 1/8" thick.

I have a bunch of antler handles "treats" that I picked up for my dogs. The 5 lb chi mix loves em, but nobody else. since i have 5 or 6 decent sized "dog treats" that are unwanted I was thinking of handle materials. Is there any difference between handles and dog treats?

That wasn't a waste at all. you learned to make a knife! not a whole lot of people can do that. pretty cool rustic dagger look.

I have held many knives and know that they feel good in my hand. My question is how do i make a blank feel like a finished knife. How much weight do you want to take off the the back to make it feel right? Should i just start drilling and hold it then drill again? or is there some kind of rule...

I was reading some of the posts on presses or hammers the other day which lead me to a video of a press made from harbor freight tools. Today when I was picking up some magnets I noticed a 20 ton shop press. my question is this...could this be altered to become a press for forging small blades...
