    Leather stamps Dennis was here this last weekend and brought samples of his leather stamps. He does a really good job on them. I compared them to a leather stamp I had made 6 years ago and there is really no difference. His price is half of what I paid for my stamp.:D Jim

    grinder I used this grinder just about all day today and WOW I am impressed with it's performance. It has a 2 hp dc motor with a VFD that you can't stall. (I tried).:D Jim

    Machined My Own Leather Stamp

    nice Nice work Dennis. Looks like you are going to have to stop building knives and start building stamps. I think my metal stamp was $150.00+. I had it made a few years ago in Edmonton. I also had a leather stamp made which has more detail and it was over $200.00 I think.

    nice I really like deer horned handles. I have a lot of deer and elk sheds. I want to make more horn handled knives. Do you stabilize your antlers before using for handles?

    vacuum/pressure vessel for stabilizing wood

    The smaller vessel is just there to tie my vacuum pump into. Then I ran another suction line to the bigger vessel. (here the wood and chemical solution will be). This way I wont be pulling any solution into the pump.

    I will put wood into 6" vessel and pull vacuum for couple days(???). I will then use the vacuum to suck my stabilizer solution into the vessel. I will again pull vacuum for couple days(???). Then I will shut the vacuum and put about 150 lbs of pressure into the vessel and leave that for a few...
