I use one of several sized green scour pad type wheels to do my initial satin finish. They save a lot of time.

    Official Club Mascot

:D:D:D:D:D She will learn. All she has to do is listen. :D:D:D Seems to me like nobody wants to vote or suggest another candidate for being the grand mascot, George. No competition, I think.

Great looking pig sticker! Looks really wicked, too! You gonna stick a hog, huh? I think the hog would go ahead and drop dead when it sees that sticker coming at it.

    Wassup for the weekend????

Thanks, George! I got her home yesterday evening and getting back to normal. She's doing pretty good. She just rolled some smokes for me with her tabletop machine, 5 packs. She had a fresh pot of coffee brewed when I got up this morning. I think she wanted to get home so she could spoil me some...

Need a tutorial on making a stacked leather handle

Sounds like good procedure, Rudy. The reason for the compression is so the leather washers won't move later, in case of a of expansion, shrinkage, etc., as we well know. Good epoxy won't discolor the leather, either.

    Lets talk about gut hooks

I have a great repeat knife customer in KY that also wants a guthook and a big pig sticker. I have some good precision ground 1/4" CPM420V that should do the trick and he won't have to worry about sharpening for a long time. I flat don't like guthooks on a blade, for the obvious reasons. I...

    Wassup for the weekend????

I hope that goes well for you, George! How went the birthday bash? I bet you fellas had a grand time. George would be a cheap date for a gal. Two drinks and he's face down on the bar. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D Wife is in the hospital again, went in Thursday. I had to call 911 and have an...

Need a tutorial on making a stacked leather handle

Yep on the compression and square leather pieces instead of rounds. Compressed wet formed washers will not loosen or move during weather changes, as well as loosening with use. 1. Use vegetable tanned tooling leather and water soak the pieces for a couple of minutes. 2. Having the leather...

    Wassup for the weekend????

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D I don't think so, but a fella would think so! :D I'm glad that's the only dumb thing I've done in the shop. Well, maybe for a while, anyhow. :D We have several dogs, one being a mild mannered female Bassett. She follows me everywhere. I tried her out as a shop buddy. She...

    Wassup for the weekend????

That's good to hear, George! I fired up the kerosene heater in the shop, am waiting for it to heat up. It was about +01F in there. I have to AcraGlas some stabilized Osage orange scales on a hunter and start the layout of a CPM420V guthook today. I have some other hunters to start, but I have...

    Unnamed flipper

Sure is nice work, Les! How about calling it the FALCON because of the graceful lines and being deadly at the same time? The open knife reminds me of a talon.
