    Bandsaw blade slipping

Do the wheels have rubber tires? They maybe old and hardened or glazed. If they are shiny they may need to be replaced. Also, on a regular wood band saw sometimes the tension mechanism spring loses its springiness and needs to be replaced. IDK if it's the same set up on yours.

The good thing though is that those people with no screwdriver skills sometimes pay those of us with screwdriver skills to drive screws!

Is there a scandinavian knifemaker forum?

There is a Scandinavian knife supply site based in Michigan that I have ordered blades from: http://www.thompsonsknives.com/ They (he, really) have a gallery, but not really a forum. Maybe the admins here can start a new category? Here's a first contribution... an old Swedish Rapala fillet knife...

What's going on in your shop?

Thank you. If you look too closely the pattern stamping isn't perfect, so this is kind of of turning into a practice piece. I'll finish it though and have an old fillet knife it should fit.

What's going on in your shop?

I saw one of those and see the other now. That's what made me think of it and go back and look again at others... and my own. Umm... caught the table saw on fire? Do tell...

    YOUR Shop!

So one thing I noticed in my own picture and many others here is a lack of a fire extinguisher in an easily accessible and obvious spot. I have one but probably have something blocking it's view, like a rag hanging on it. It's probably expired too... I suppose I should check it.

Stop The Helicopter - Some Ways To Save a Finger

Yeah it's not the best set of bits in the drawer. I had a pretty good chunk of wood twirling on it as I recall. Livin' and lernin'

    YOUR Shop!

Here's my front 1/2 of the garage in usable shop configuration... But now that winter is on the door step, everything is pushed forward so we can get the cars in and the drill press and bandsaw are the only two accessible tools and are pushed up to about the right edge of the black floor mat. No...

    First AEB-L SS Fillet knife

I like it! Looks good and sturdy. How flexible is it? That's one key features in a fillet knife, but even within the genre there are different levels of flex and blade shape for specific purposes. What works for a Sunfish doesn't always work for a Tuna. Depends on what your customer is looking...

    Puronvarsi Hunter

I love that style! And the fit on the brass to the blade is excellent. I don't now if I have the patience to attempt that, but maybe one of these days...
