I stamp all my forged and stock removal carbon steel blades.. The forged blades get my J.S. stamp the stock removal do not. I etch all of my SS blades..
My only reason for this is so that I can differentiate between my knives....
I ALWAYS fit the tang to the lock.. I want to keep the cut lines symmetrical..
I do like Ed and grind my lock in before marking my frame/liner.
I then mark my frame with a carbide scribe as close to the blade as possible. I then cut the frame, leaving the line plus a couple of thousandths. But...
Les is right on the money with his last post.. My wife keeps everything we do on Quick Books Pro... Even our personal stuff. We e-mail it to our accountant every quarter and he looks everything over for us. Costs a few bucks, but his advice for the following quarter usually offsets the cost...
I am set up as an LLC.. Simply put.. My accountant told me to go that way... His view was that it is simpler and lest trouble to maintain an LLC than an "S" Corp..
So, That's what I did..
By the way.... I have a really good accountant!!!
I think happy hour is all day there...
But we did work on it during the first part of the week. Before everything got so blurry!!!!!

If you choose to do hats, spend the extra money and get good ones done. I have mine done on the heavy hat with the suede bill. My logo is embroidered on it with my website across the back.

I can usually tell it is time to change the cartridges on mine when I start sucking air in around the seal...
I used to have to change them every couple of weeks. But, I bought one of thos overhead squirrel cage filters and it has made a huge difference in the amount of dust in my shop....

I have been told that in order to buy direct from Sandvik, you have to buy a 2000# coil...
That's a bit more than I think I would use before it spoils!!!!:confused:
