    Custom Breacher Bar/Chisel

I certainly see where you are coming from on the hot spots. I have another pair of links to try with some thicker material and I will countersink them so that there is much less "protrusion". Hopefully it shouldn't be any worse on the hand than the clip of a pocketknife. I suppose...

What do you use your knives for?

In all honesty, I use my pocket knives for opening letters, cutting cord and opening boxes. Not much else. If I am going camping, I always have my folder in pocket, a 4" or 6" fixed blade and my small hatchet for all the regular camp chores. Among all my friends, I'm also the one that...

Coloring and Cleaning your leather sheaths?

I've had good, consistent and rich black coloring from the USMC Deep Black plus the Super Sheen topcoat, both from Tandy. But I like the blue idea also. I only mentioned translucent to imply that any imperfections or variations in the natural leather surface would show-through the dye color.

Coloring and Cleaning your leather sheaths?

I have not mastered a consistent translucent dyeing process for myself yet. That's why I mostly deal with black dyes or antique gel colors. :) I've read that wetting the surface can aid in absorption and even coloring.

    Damascus Skinner

I think what he was implying, was that he on a previous knife, he sharpened it before the handlework, or sheath or something else was not finished. Ended up cutting himself while finishing the knife, so now saves sharpening for the VERY last step. I do the same process. Really good looking...

Just finished up today. 1084 Flat ground Brass and imistag handle 3-11/16" blade 8"OAL Sheath is hand stitched with a stud and Celtic concho. I wanted to keep it simple and skip too much tooling. Intended to be worn with a kilt and stockings, on the outside of your right calf.

    Sanmai neck knife

Beautiful steel and knife. Personally not a huge fan of skeletonized blades, but I fully understand their function on a lightweight neck knife. Still a great blade to me. the leather work also is fantastic! Seems rugged and solid while also being clean and simple.

If we were to giveaway a knife up to $500 in cost, what knife would you want?

Personally... of the inventory I see on your website, my go-to would be the ZT-Hinderer 0561. Love some ZT and LOVE some Hinderer blades!!!

    Hunter In Bubinga

I really like the dramatic curve toward the tip of the blade. Makes a great point that not every knife is built to stab stuff.
