I made my first slip joint today. ATS-34 stainless. Nickel silver bolsters ,stainless liners , g10 scales. Made some mistakes. But it has no blade wobble. Jumps from half stop to closed. I very Making another tomorrow.

Thanks, I use a belt cleaner. a rubber eraser. To clean my belts I still need to finish my handles better.

A new knife a finished today. Made with ABE-L heat treated by me. Orange with blue g10 handle scales. It’s been fun getting back into the shop.

It’s nice to get together and make knives. It’s hard when they grow up , work and try and raise their own kids.

I helped my son made his second knife. First in over ten years. He drew this out a couple weeks ago. It’s ABE-L

I bought .070 Abe-l. And I heat treat my own stainless. I fallowed the heat treat recipe it cuts great and holds a great edge. I also did a couple in .125 Abe-l and a few In ATS-34 .100 thickness . Let me know if I can help at all. .

Yes it has. It’s been 10 years. My business got to busy. Then we had a house fire and lost everything. Then health problems. I finally got my health back and started making knives again. It feels great to be back in the shop.
