Welcome. I use fresh Norzon belts for both. Don't go too fast or you'll burn the micarta. G-10 is a lot harder to burn. -John

I like it too. It hand finishes well and grinds pretty easy. Much easier than S30V and 3V. Holds a good edge too. Get some. I am using it instead of CPM 154. -John

The blue font is very difficult to read Rex. I think that Brian and myself as well as a lot of other guys here like to use stainless steels such as CPM S35VN and that they do require precision heat treating. You need to use a kiln, not a torch or forge. The Rockwell test really lets me know...

You don't need to hold it for 50 min. 25 min should be fine. I temper at 500F for 2hrs X 2. Stainless steels do not act like carbon steels. -John
