Sharing: Magnifier Safety glasses at a good price

http://www.fastwaysafety.com/3m-light-vision-safety-glasses-with-2-led-lights-gray-frame-and-clear-anti-fog-lens/ I already have progressive prescription glasses so I saw the ones about with LEDS on the sides and got a pair of them. These put the light right where I need it while grinding and...

    Carbonfiber?

Fred, When you scuba dive, you rub a bit of a raw potato on the inside of the face plate to keep it from fogging up, The other one I've used is heavily diluted Wisk Detergent, about 20 to 1 Water to Wisk to keep my face plate from fogging We have it in a bucket on the boat and dip the...

Long time since a post, here goes, O1 custom bushcraft knife

Its not my time of knife over all It has So many uses that i don't think it would do any of them very well. I know there is a current wave of this kind of stuff. How about sending him a nice 7" bladed Bowie knife pattern if he wants an outdoors & chopper knife? JMHO.

    Sharpie equilivant for marking wood?

I use sharpies on wood. I X out or figure eight the inside of a set of scales before hand sanding for final flatness. Sharoies, Big No2 pencils have worked for what I need on woods.

    Wood stabilization question

I agreed with Doug on the first two and I've had Bubinga stabilized and un stabilized and prefer it to be stabilized even though it doesn't add that much in weight to the wood, It adds water resistance durability to my kitchen cutters

    wip japanese style kitchen knife

Very nice looking kitchen cutter. I have one suggestion for you if that's alright. I shape and polish to my 1000 grit the end of the scales before I epoxy/bolt the handle/scales to the tang. That makes life a lot easier since i don't have to try to get into the ricasso area after the...

    Carbonfiber?

Remember that all of that carbon fiber dust will be in your shop after grinding it until it gets vacuumed out or you inhale it! I'm surprised Ed works with it at all after the health night mares he's been through. I just can't stand the itchy feeling that I got from Carbon fiber on my hands...

I finally feel like a big boy...

If your machine runs forward and tracks fine, what diff would it make to run it in reverse to see how it tracks? In other words, without being snarky. The point of having a reverse is to use it for whatever task the user wishes.

Travis, You will wonder how you ever got along without Variable speed! You will now be able to find that spot in the speed for each belt grit and what you are doing. I also think you will use the flip more than you think. I want one for my handle work in particular. HMMM?:les: I've been...

I just use a hardened blade out of the O' )(&^^% bucket to break in corks. Rudy's suggestion of using a brick sounds like it will work great!
