    Lake-ish folder

The right side does match the left and yes the screw is too close to the inlay. I hope to do it better next time. This was really a trial run so hopefully those little things won't be a problem on future folders like this. I will not be getting this one engraved, I would prefer to wait until I...

    Tang Size

I don't think there are any real rules around tang size. You want to make sure there is enough of the handle material that it is not brittle and you want to make sure there is enough tang to give it some strength. The 3/4" and the 4" seem about right, the 1/4" thick may be a bit of overkill but...

    cutting titanium ?

I have been using .040 titanium on my liner locks. It is cuttable with the regular bi metal bandsaw blade but it invariably breaks off teeth. Is there a special bandsaw blade that can be purchased for use with the little home metal bandsaws for cutting titanium. 64 1/2 blade I believe. Thanks...

    how to spot anneal ?

I hardened my bolsters before drilling a relief spot for the pivot screw. Now I need to drill out a 3/16 hole approx 3/32 depth into the back of the bolster after hardening. Any sugestions? The material is high carbon damascus. Thanks Steve

    button lock spring question

Two problems with that. They only carry the large diameter springs and their delivery time is roughly 3 weeks to Canada.
