    How long would you consider over soaking regarding say 1095/W2/W1 ? Would 10 min soak seem like a good start ?

    Do they have any vibration issue's with the thin wall tubing ? For example the KMG grinder uses thick steel that creates a large amount mass for dampening .

    Geez.. Wonder why so long ? Has he been paid in advance ? I don't care how cheap they are to buy. If you spend $1000. dollars you should get a good machine. They look very poorly built. And not worth a $1000 dollars. I know other machines cost more and may seem out of reach but a $1000 dollars...

    You can get a mechanics cart and put it on that. Get one with a shelf on the bottom and put all your accessories like foil , tongs and gloves etc,

    Yes it does darken most handle material. Some people like it on Micarta because it darkens it up a bit. But it wears away very quickly. There are dozens of tricks to achieve most finishing preferences.

    Not sure if you have a belt sander but if you go up into the higher grits with a J-Flex belt and go to you lowest belt speed you can get decent results.

    Always read you orders twice.. Make sure you use the specified fasters (brass if brass-stainless if stainless) that way if your customer is not amused you don't have to make the blade over again . Ask me how I know this.:sad:
