Would have been nice for you to be able test out the new blade. But if you had a good time with friends or family, then it was successful hunt.

I would go with low HP buffer. As Ken said, they can grab the knife and throw them at you fast. Low power, tight hold, and stand to the side just in case.

The knife, and the way you photographed/staged it, in my opinion is a work of art.
