Couple of New Ones Done This Weekend

Randy, So far I like it. I'm not crazy about grinding it after HT, but with the thickness of the material I'm afraid to do it any other way. Performance wise I LOVE it! I think I need to get trained on how to use stones to get the full potential out of the edge though! I cant wait to start...

Jericoh Glad to hear you are on the mend! I have had 2 heart attacks and 7 stents. I don't exercise as much as I should, but have lost 43 lbs since my first heart attack. I agree that all is well when in moderation. Just wanted to drop a word of warning. I am a Safety Manager and want to make...

    Harley Chain billet

I would say pay a bit more attention to your soak time, and possibly an initial higher heat. I never did HD chain but did some fork lift lift chain and a LOT of chainsaw. I agree with not distorting the pattern too much, but I would defiantly work the edges a bit. Are you using a press? if so...

    perfect plunges

If you are tight on $$ (and who isn't?) and you cant understand how you can get $120 worth of use out of a file guide, my advise would be "TRY ONE" ask for one at Christmas, a birthday, fathers day whatever! I have never had the success cutting blade bevels as I do now. Is it a jig, or a crutch...
