    Yes i had actually heard or read this before, from what i remembered it said they were not actually of the antelope family, that those were actually in africa and that american antelope were closer to sheep. thanks for the info, interesting animals for sure thanks steve

    I was wondering if when heat treating like 154CM you include more than one hold time? Like if your desired heat treating temp was 1950deg for 45min would you first have a say 15min soak time at 1400deg and then proceed to the final soak temp?? I thought i had read about this, maybe people...

    well the taxidermists we use here uses the real antelope horn, and yes they pretty much stay smelling that way though it does lose most of its potency. my buddies coat he wore 4yrs ago when he killed his antelope still smells awful!!! lol the section i cut and polished doesnt really stink...

    I just bought the stuff to set this up, i aint tried it yet but its gotta help at least some. My wife is drilling me about dust EVERYWHERE lol. she says i neglected to mention the dust aspect of knife making to her when i decided to get started in this :) I swear i think i told her :)
