Laurence, I just received some 1095 and 440C from a Jantz knife supply. I guess, I Should have added that I want to use this steel for practicing grinding. My thinking is that I would rather ruin an unknown steel, that screw up a perfectly good piece of 440C. My thumb is starting to heal...
