I presume that it's not that you have lots of threaded bar in there? Perhaps check the hole size using a toothpick down it. How much depth screwing together do you get?

I find etching very crisp - like Sean I give it another rub over after after etching to take off any rounding.

My etching is in the blade. ;) My design has too much thick / thin going on so stamping it would have been tricky.

Out of interest, what electrolyte and voltage would you use for Aluminium? the same as for steel ok?

Being a Spyderco it may have been USA made or may not (helpful, i know) I don't know if they restrict to Imperial bolts even if made overseas.
