    They look stout and reliable!....I really doubt the benefit of a classbreaker,...it is just like a bottle opener...I can open a bottle with nearly everything in reach, so it is with destroying glass, but anyway this are great looking knives!

    working on this old stuff is a waste of money!!...you need tools, energy and the like, have a loss of carbon and whatever, (and the technique with the broken drill bit is a good joke! sorry:lol:)...and at last: you will fight the mistakes, getting not rid of them just changing them into another...

    Kevin, I made a stamping tool, using 20 x 10 mm tool steel and a coarse checkering file.I hit the tool as perpendicular as possible and anneal after every punch.

    Liner Lock ?

    If You are able to manage the liners to stay straight, you can use steel. 6 Al4 V Titanium is springy hard and no HT, lighter than steel and will stay straight even if you heat colour it.

    I not shure about this...Please can You explain in which way it "deteriorates"....only thing is it might not cool down as fast as not deteriorated?I use the same oil since 10 years and dont know what all happened to it and I never felt or have a practical evidence that it is not quenching as...
