    Wrought iron

I'll check and see what I have that's close to that and get back to you later today. Can you forge it to size or do you need it close to the size you stated?

    Wrought iron

I've got a pretty good supply of it. I have not etched any of it, but it is pretty good stuff I'm told. It all came from a friend of mine who worked for the railroad, and he said they didn't skimp on quality. What size are you looking for? I should be able to help you out.

    Questions on soldering/brazing rig

C Craft, for soldering I just use the propane cylinder, no oxygen with it. But I'm doing silver solder which low a low temperature melting point. That allows you to solder the guard on a heat treated blade without ruining the heat treat. I use the smallest tip I can find for it, and it works...

Well, I admit I'm a big fan of puukko knives. And you are right, they are not posted here much at all. I've been lucky enough to have Kay Vicstrom hold classes in my area, and I took at total of 3 from him. Ya, I'm a slow learner. I've currently got 5 on my bench that will go to the Badger...

Front sheild for a Little Giant

I have a new style 25 lb. Little Giant and I'd be glad to snap some pictures of how the guard is mounted on it if you would like me to. I did not put it on, as it was already installed when I got it. It does however have the expanded mesh on it, which I will change before using it again...

survey time! What metal and thickness liners are in your slipplies?

I have only dabbled in slippies, and use what I have on hand. .050 Ti mostly, because I can color it and I also have some .040 410 stainless that looks good for what I do.
