Ground things a bit today and polished and dressed the faces:

Forged this hammer, and the punch and drift in about 2 hours today after work. started with 1045 in 1.5" square by about 4.5" long. Here is my setup, I use the big 5 pound offset for driving the punch and drift, the articulated tool tray holds water for cooling, off to the side is my punch lube.

I borrowed it from my boss, he's a bit of a hoarder so stuff tends to collect like that. There is a ceramic shielded K thermocouple on the other end, i'll snap a photo for you.

I usually make a new knife every summer for myself, I think this one will be it this year absolutely!

Thanks man. Ht'd this blade today, had to get creative with the Kiln hehe but it worked like a charm. I got some positive curvature WHICH ROCKS. I quenched from 1510F, at a 45 degree angle into room temperature oil edge first.

I want to checker the whole tang, it will be my first time checkering, and I need to buy a checkering file but I would like to try that. BIG BOLD checkering, low line per inch

I wanted to practice a hollow grind on a dagger blade, and I wanted a boot knife, so I ground this one out from some 1084. Ground on a 14" wheel.

I sadly did not get all too many photos of everything as it ended up in the end. It was finished the evening before the new owner came to get it.
