I'm starting my first slip as well using Chris's video. I'll just go the scribe line method he discusses and skip the daily meter device this time. His video is awesome.

Totally serious comment, why not just add silver glitter?

Another question fellas. Is there any reason why I couldn't use traditional folder hardware with a slipjoint over peening pins?

I've used Kirinite alot as well, and never had this issue. Sucks! I'd try to return/refund. Then buy elsewhere.

Do you mean tempering in your home oven? Unless you have a heat treating oven?
