If you are talking about sanding the handle material............ I see a lot of handles showing the sanding lines and to me it looks bad. The sanding block helps to keep crisp edges for the piece you are sanding. After using a block I use a piece of foam rubber as a backer for the sandpaper...

I can't quite put my finger on any single feature that makes me think this way. But I really like the way this knife looks. Very clean, great profile and good looking all around. Nice knife!

I like the amber dyed stag that Bruce Bump uses sometimes. I think he get's it dyed by Culpepper.

How was the show?

All 3 look nice and clean. But the handle material and pins in #3 set it way above the rest in overall appearance. Great looking knives.

This is just guessing so take this with a grain of salt. I would contact the show promoters and ask them. If it is not a brand new show it will be something they are familiar with. Then I would attempt to contact some of the other knifemakers who attend the show and ask how they go about...
