I’ve used their Damascus a few times. I’ve had no troubles with it. HT directions are at the bottom of their web page. You should be happy with it.

Working on this camp knife. It’s about 9” OAL with a 4.8” cutting edge. W2 with a hamon. Oak Burl with carbon fiber bolster on the handle. Just finished the handle today. About 80% completed.

It’s going to be a nice knife I am certain. My worry is it will probably make me feel like I wasted money on machinery. I’m looking forward to the knife.

New for me to make. 9 1/2” OAL, cutting edge is 4 1/4, handle is 6”. O1 steel. Micarta handle. Happy Thanksgiving.

Looking good Dan! I agree with the thought finishing touches require the most attention. All the proceeding work needs to set you up for a good finish. For me, if it’s been a long project, I often take a little break before the finishing. Mainly so I can reset my energy and avoid any tendencies...

Thanks! I believe the next one will have a slight design change where the tip is not so vulnerable. It flexes pretty good but I think it could be designed better.

After the handle is shaped and fully sanded but before buffing, I mask off the spine/belly with electrical tape. Apply etchant with a Qtip. Wipe down with windex. Remove tape and residue from the tape and then wax and buff. Be careful of drips off the edge onto the blade because that will...
