    Found my lost knife

That's a beautiful dagger, and the dovetails are a fantastic touch. Did you find that snakewood hard to work with? I have a bit left from a 1/4 round I bought a couple years ago, and it's full of splits and checks. (which the ebay seller didn't tell me about, and wasn't evident from the pictures)...

How About A Bruce Bump Blade Gallery

I require even less maintenance than Steve...I'll eat whatever you throw in my bowl, and would be happy as a clam with whatever kind of slippie your hands are moved to make... And while I didn't go to no fancy school to learn Manual Debris Herding, I'm a natural-born Master of the Broom:I run...

    Latest Knife

Nicely done! Vine pattern file-work is (imo) the most time consuming and finicky of all the patterns I've tried. Nice job! And that sheath is sweet!

...David,it's a hard and heavy task you've been handed, but you seem to have the Strength to bear it for someone so young; I applaud you bro, and offer up Smoke and Prayer an answer and end to your pain and suffering will be forthcoming soon...

    AFter a stroke

Well,I haven't had any strokes, but 5 years I had a bad fall and fractured my spine, along with a leg/groin injury (buggered some tendons and ligaments) . The leg injury hurt WAY more than the back, and within a week I was back at work (on light duty).I didn't know I'd fractured my back, until a...

    Need Rescue Dogs OUCH

man...faced with that kind of pain, the positive outlook and vibe you bring to this forum humbles me. I think if it were me with that kind of pain, and more, the KNOWLEDGE that it's coming every few hours... I would be curled up in a corner in a fetal position clutching a bottle of rum... Smoke...

    Edc #1 mk2

Hell,I can't see much I'd do different... maybe a tad more meat at the forefinger; I see that as a possible weak area, and I like having just a little more to wrap my finger around. (but that's just my take). Nice fit and finish, and a solid design, you did good!

    W-Based Mosaic WIP

You my friend, are going to be very,VERY much in demand once you've established yourself in your career... the ONLY job-site I ever worked on that went smoothly (as smoothly as they do go),was the one where the owner was the engineer, and the architect, and was on-site... (a residential site)...

Here's some advice from a blue-collar grunt who's been on the ground, cursing you engineers and architects :3:... Spend at least 6 months on a job-site,working with what you intend to design and build. I can't recall ONE jobsite where what was happening on the ground wasn't at odds with the...

    Newbie Closing Gaps in Gaurd?

logic tells me that heating the metal causes it to expand: so,if you heat it and tap it, when it cools,it will shrink, and create another gap... yes? (maybe I'm wrong). I over-filed the slot for a brass guard once: it was too wide, but fit top and bottom well. I lightly hammered it from the...

Graham, the quality of your work, and the Passion you invest in them, will ensure some recognition... Good marketing will ensure some more. But,it's YOU and the spirit in which you offer back what has been offered to you that will see your name up there where it belongs. I see a long, happy and...
