    Couple of slip joint WIP

Trust me no reason to apologize. I appreciate ya'lls input. Speaking of different ways I will be posting pictures of my method of relieving liners this weekend. I've posted it on other forums and actually have a few other makers doing it. Thanks again for any help and commentary.

    Couple of slip joint WIP

When he called me I was extremely excited. I just hope the knife is half as good as the engraving. Actually cut some blacklip tonight! First things first. I got the bolsters shaped and polished on the end that meets the pearl to 600 grit. This took a little time to line everything up, but I...

Dave I'm sure the pucker factor is going to be high when I'm cutting that stuff lol. Sean Mr. Hurst is going to engrave them, should have plenty of canvas.

    Destruction Testing

If it were me, I'd have to get orders to pay the insane asylum for doing that to a finished knife. They drive me half crazy making them, breaking a finished knife would send me over the edge :D Thanks for posting this, I was suprised by the results.

Thanks for sharing. Was that just one 3/32" pin? Nothing special added?

    Couple of slip joint WIP

I use the same size stock as Sean. As far as the bolsters I actually spot weld them on. I needed a spot welder for other projects and the harbor freight model was on sale. That said I would use the Tony Bose way if I were soldering. For grinding I grind the blade after the handle is made...

How long to keep a knife

Thanks for the input guys. If this wasn't a standard model that I made I might be more inclined to lower the price. But like was mentioned I've got several of this model out there for the asking price, it's just this one I haven't sold. The guys who bought that knife for X amount are going to be...

    Couple of slip joint WIP

I'm interested myself. Ya'll brought up the pros and cons I had of using the bushing. One more thing that makes it more difficult. Instead of one hole that needs to be square to the knife, you have two. One on the tang of the knife and one in the bushing it'self. Over the next couple of days...

How long to keep a knife

If it's the zebrawood skinner your talking about, it would have been hard for me to let that one go at that price it was nice. I could sell the knife I have right now at home no problem. It would be nice to get the money, but I've been trying to push my name out past the friends and family...

How long to keep a knife

After reading the how many knives to take to a show and after a few other threads I was wondering what is the appropriate length of time to keep a knife? I have a knife I tried to sell in February at the Wannenmacher Show and I will have it with me at the show in November. I have seen makers...
