    I believe that your belt tension has changed. Replace the spring or piston and I think you will be home again. Frank

    Skinner I just finished.

    Looks like a fine knife. Funny you call this a skinner. I would can it a drop point. But I remember making a custom knife back several years that looked much the same and the fellow told me at that time it was a skinner. Doesn't matter what we call them, really, does it? Frank

    Need advice on matching platen corners, raduising glass, etc.

    What I have found is to true up the plunges with the finer belts. Sure try to get close with the 60 or 120 but if you put the attention on say the 35 and even 16 it doesn't seem too difficult. I drift the belt a bit over the side to get what I want. Amazing what those belts will do. I will point...

    What is the ideal size of wheel for hollow grinding?

    ! like the 10" when hollow grinding but flat grind as well. I believe Ed has given a good explanation of what the result should be. A serrated wheel is not one I would pick for finishing work. Frank
