Same here. Mine has Black & Decker labels on it but I got it at Sears and can't find any difference between it and the Craftsman one of the same size. I have made a LOT of holes with this thing an no problems so far. Unless you need really high precision, you can get by with an inexpensive drill...

I would strongly advise much thinner stock for a sabre grind that "short". As drawn, it appears to be near 1/4" at the spine and it won't cut worth a hoot. The bevel angles suggested by your drawing are more suited to a big chopper, not a 4-5" blade with a fine point. Thin is in, baby, and...

Yes. You can leave the oven at temp, it won't take very long for the blade to cool between cycles. You can even put it in the freezer to save time.

Is it in the motor or one of the wheels? If you have the model number, you might be able to find parts here. EDIT: these are for the newer 2-wheel versions but might have some of the same wheels/bearings... parts list 1 parts list 2 Hope this helps.
